While Honda has pulled the plug on the high-performance NSX supercar, Toyota said that it will not abandon plans to bring the Lexus LF-A to the market by 2011. Toyota recently teased the LF-A supercar at Toyota’s Motorsport Festival at Fuji Speedway.
Toyota confirmed its commitment to the LF-A program as it announced that it will keep investing into the Formula One World Championship. It’s rumored that Toyota will build a small number of LF-A prototypes this year which will take part in various racing championships.
The Lexus LF-A is expected to see a limited-production run of 500 units. Power will come from a 480-hp V8 engine.
